Jakub Kaminski, a Benfica winger, came off injured this Friday in Poland-Bosnia and Herzegovina (0-0), the first match of the group stage of League B of the Nations League. He was replaced by Nicola Zalewski in the 24th minute.
The Poland international kept complaining of the back of his left thigh and arrived at the bench visibly frustrated.
After the match, Poland coach Jan Urban was not very optimistic about the possibility of Kaminski recovering from this physical problem in time to help his national team in the three remaining matches of this international break.
"Unfortunately, it seems to me that we've lost him, because, as I mentioned earlier, if we play four matches in such a short time, some injuries - not long ones, because it doesn't have to be long, but it just needs to be a week or 10 days - that already simply rules him out of the next matches," he explained.
Kaminski will thus be assessed by Poland's medical team in the coming hours, with Benfica naturally keeping an eye. The national team's next three fixtures will be a visit to Sweden (Monday), a home match against Romania (October 2) and a trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina (October 5).
